ファッション 音楽 映画 演劇 アート 書物 スポーツ

イギリス文化は日本に多大な影響を与えてきました。
1966年The Beatles来日時、女性たちが興奮する姿を目にしたことのない方はいないでしょう。

1979年公開「さらば青春の光」。
細身の3つボタンスーツに〈Dr.Martens〉を合わせ、M-51を雑に羽織る姿は、時代は変われど確実に日本のファッションシーンに影響を与えています。

1981年公開「炎のランナー」。
スクールブレザーやチルデンセーターをはじめとする1920'sブリティッシュスタイルは、今見ても決して色褪せることはありません。

2002年日韓サッカーW杯。
イングランド代表DAVID BECKHAMは、日本におけるフットボールの認知度を高めるきっかけとなりました。

今では街で〈BURBERRY〉チェックを見ない日はなく、〈THOM BROWNE.〉〈DRIES VAN NOTEN〉をはじめとするビッグブランドが、ブリティッシュトラッドに精通していることは言わずもがなです。

イギリスとあなたをつなぐもの。
気付かぬうちにつながっている何か。

渋谷店スタッフとイギリスをつなぐもの。
いくつかご紹介します。

「トゥモローランド入社後最初に買ったドレスシューズ。今では履く機会も少なくなってしまいましたが、思い出深い一足です」

「5年前ぐらいに出会った作品。今でも主演のEwan McGregorのスキニースタイルは世界で一番ダサく、けれど憧れています」

5：笹-〈MADE IN THE UK〉
JANETTE BECKMANの作品。1977～1983年のイギリスの音楽とファッションを写し出している。
「テーラーからパンクまで、幅広いストリートファッションが詰まった、刺激的な1冊です」

6：柴田-キルト
「何を隠そう大のチェック好き。本場イギリスへも行きました。このキルトのスカートはスコットランドに行った際、お土産として購入したものです」


生まれた瞬間に消えてゆく"モード"と、半永久的に磨き上げられてゆく"トラディショナル"。
ロンドン発のブランド〈b store〉は、テーラーの聖地Savile Rowに店を構えながらも、新進気鋭のブランドや個性のある商品を取扱うショップ。

トゥモローランド 渋谷店では3月16日（金）より〈b store〉の期間限定ショップをオープンします。2012SSコレクションはもちろん、別注Tシャツや〈b store〉が発行する「b MAGAZINE」など、日本ではここでしか手に入らないアイテムもご用意しております。
その他、〈FOX UMBRELLAS〉〈CUTLER AND GROSS〉〈Tricker's〉〈PENHALIGON'S〉などイギリスを存分に感じていただけるラインアップもご用意しております。

"Things Between the UK and YOU"
Fashion Music Film Drama Art Book Sports...
British culture has given us much influence.
In 1966, When The Beatles visited Japan for the first time.
You must saw the scene that a lot of women went crazy and screamed up.

In 1979, "Quadrophenia".
The style that they wear sharp 3 buttons suit with and M-51 is always influential to Japanese fashion.

In 1981, "Chariots of Fire".
The 20's British style such as school blazer and tylden sweater is always fresh and new for us.

In 2002, FIFA WORLD CUP.
David Beckham from England International Team gave us an opportunity to get the football in Japan well known.

Now we can see 〈BURBERRY〉checks everywhere, and we already now that the big brand such as 〈THOM BROWNE.〉and〈DRIES VAN NOTEN〉are much related to British traditional style.

The something unconsciously.
Now I'm going to show the things between the UK and us.

1：JOHN LOBB　-Mr.Sekine
『This pair of shoes is the first one when I started to work for TOMORROWLAND, which is really intense to me.』

2：Tricker's　-Mr.Hatanaka
『This pair of shoes is the souvenir for my wife. 12 years old now.』

3：UNDERWORLD　-Ms.Uchikawa
『I used to listen to their CDs when I was in NY. When I want to concentrate on something, I'd like to listen to their music so often.』

4：Trainspotting　-Mr.Tanabe
『First time I saw this film, it was so sensational to me. I couldn't forget the Ewan McGregor's skinny style even now.』

5：MADE IN THE UK　-Mr.Sasa
JANETTE BECKMAN's art book which describes British fashion and music from 1977 to 1983.
『From tailoring style to punk fashion, this book covers various style from them. For me, it's exciting really. 』

6：The Kilt　-Mr.Shibata
『I went to Scotland because I just wanted to see the real check-pattern from Scotland,and this is the traditional skirt that I bought there.』

The "MODE" is just timely,while the "TRADITIONAL" is timeless.
The brand 〈b store〉 from London is located at Savile Row which is the sacred place for traditional men's wear,
but they hold really new and sensational brands including their original one.
Not within the "MODE", not within the "TRADITIONAL".
They are just interested in something they sympathize.
Then they create or pick up the products at their favorite place.
We can strongly feel the "STYLE" between the "MODE" and "TRADITIONAL".
At TOMORROWLAND Shibuya,
the "b store temporary shop" will open through Mar. 16th to APR 1st.
We are going to release 12SS collections, limited T-shirts and 『b MAGAZINE』from 〈b store〉.
Additionally, you can feel the U.K atmosphere from the brands 〈FOX UMBRELLAS〉, 〈CUTLER AND GROSS〉, 〈Tricker's〉, 〈PENHALIGON'S〉 and something.
